In the quarterfinals, Co-Rec Blue faced Appalachian. After a commanding first inning in which UVA lead 5-1, Appalachian knocked several home runs into left field to take lead. Around 50 people were watching - most of them rooting for Virginia.

Co-Rec Blue responded with some slugging of their own, and kept the game close even after some breakaway innings.
